Elvis is an incredible hair stylist. He takes the time to ask about your hair routine, daily lifestyle to take into account of what the health of your hair needs, and what your ideal cut or curls should look like to make you feel amazing. I think wha... t sets him apart is the education he is willing to provide. I asked about hair mask routine or why is my hair getting so tangled lately etc- and he is able to explain the reasoning plus offer suggestions that are possible with my daily life. This was our first time in Vaza. My daughter had Sarina and she was wonderful!! She helped educate me on my daughter's curls! She and my daughter got along so nicely, she even told her they were friends at the end and gave her multiple hugs! She even... asked when she can come back for another treatment! I drove an hour and a half for my appointment with Val at Va Za Salon, and it was worth it. After so many disappointing cuts upstate (including several overpriced “curl specialists”), I finally found someone I want to go back to! Val really took her... time—she explained her vision clearly, listened to my concerns, and gave me not just a great cut, but also the practical care instructions to recreate the definition and shape at home. That alone was huge. The assistant who shampooed, massaged, and styled my hair was also wonderful—just such a relaxing, thoughtful experience from start to finish. I left feeling amazing, purchased products I feel confident using, and already have my next appointment booked. Highly recommend! Read more

I've been coming here for many years because they do a great curly cut (cut the hair dry so the hair lays right and the shape is correct when worn curly). I also get balayage color.
